10 Day Trip
1) Join co-travelers for an opening dinner at a Kathmandu restaurant before spending two nights at a hotel in Kathmandu.
2) Discover Patan's temple of Teleju, the Statue of Yogendra Malla, and the holy shrine of Swayambhunath. Continue on to Boudhanath Stupa, and meet with monks for a ceremonial blessing.
3) Take a flight to Thimphu for a walk in the middle of the city with a tour guide, followed by a two night stay at a Thimphu hotel.
4) Enjoy a homemade meal inside the house of Thimphu residents.
5) Explore Punakha's National Library to view classic Buddhist words, scripts, and a look at the Textile and Folk Heritage Museum. Tour the Institute for Zorig Chusum (the School for the Arts), and watch students learn modern Bhutan art skills. Later, head to Punakha Dzong, where travelers will spend two nights at a resort.
6) Walk to Chimi Lhakhang, and discover wonderful views of the temple.
7) See how Bhutanese meals are made when meeting a Paro chef. Then, try making the dish, and taste it afterwards. Later, spend two nights at a Paro hotel.
8) Take a hike on the Taktshang Monastery (Tiger's Nest).
9) Enjoy a closing dinner before staying overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
10) Head to Tribhuvan International Airport, and take a flight back home.
